This is the follow-on from Colour Profiles, sRGB and Adobe RGB.
Converting to sRGB in Photoshop
- Open the image in Photoshop.
- Choose Edit → Convert to Profile…
- The current profile is shown in the Source Space field.
- Set the Destination Space to sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
- Click OK.
Then save the web-ready file using either:
- File → Save As, choosing JPEG and ticking the ICC profile checkbox, or
- File → Export → Export As (the modern replacement for “Save for Web”), choosing a JPEG (or WebP) preset.
The exact menu labels move around between Photoshop versions, but the flow is the same: convert to sRGB, then export.
Then size your images

A note on metadata
Images can carry metadata in EXIF, IPTC and XMP formats (camera settings, copyright, captions and more). If you’re a photographer and want to preserve or manage this, check your export settings — some “export for web” options strip metadata to reduce file size.
