Improved WooCommerce Order Automation using Order Notes
Orders in WooCommerce are the key to eCommerce automation using WooCommerce Zapier. In fact, 78% of our users have Zaps that perform automation with WooCommerce Orders.
Today’s WooCommerce Zapier release improves existing Order functionality by adding support for Order Notes, which is one of the most popular WooCommerce Zapier feature requests.
When viewing an existing order in WooCommerce, you can see the order notes in the Order notes section on the right of the screen.
They’re typically used to keep track of internal notes (such as order status changes and payment gateway events), or customer notes (such as tracking numbers and/or fulfilment notes).
Up until today, this information was not available in WooCommerce Zapier.
Today’s release includes a brand new Order Note Trigger, as well as new Create Order Note and Find Order Note actions.
For example, you can now perform Zapier automation whenever a new order note is added to an existing order. This gives you access to even more WooCommerce Order data in Zapier.
You can also add a new order note to an existing Order via a Zap. For example, adding a shipment tracking number to an order, and notifying the customer of this tracking number all in a single Zapier step.
We hope you enjoy this new order note functionality.
For full details, please see the Order Note documentation.
